Back, With Brains and Heart!
Tonight's show should be really, really interesting ... and a little bit complicated, to boot. First of all, Bill will be speaking from the Philadelphia MUFON convention, so there's no telling how that will go. No passing notes between us, for instance, since he will be miles away.
And our guest is Charles Higgins, associate professor of neuroscience and engineering at the University of Arizona. Here is a link to his Higgins Lab, where all sorts of Frankensteinian stuff is going on -- I just know it. This will be a lively, not-to-be-missed conversation. I just know it.
Think: ants, Avatar, Gray Goo ... and that's just the beginning. It's all about the brain.

The Show: Although I was sort of joking when I referenced Frankenstein in the intro to our guest Dr. Charles Higgins, as it turns out ... it's not that far-out a concept. What Professor Higgins is attempting to create is almost a new form of life with the binding of a dragonfly's brain to a robot's body.
In the course of this show, we talk about brains, of course, as well as the potential ethical conflicts inherent in such an endeavor. I know you will find it fascinating. In fact, I don't think I've ever said "Wow" so many times in one hour. There is a high wow-factor to this interview! Enjoy!
