Working on Show #2
The most important thing, maybe, just might be a comfortable chair. I was sliding off the end of the chair I was using for last week's broadcast, and it was tense. The new microphone was really sensitive, and if I'd slid to the floor and taken it with me, it would have been really really loud.
So, I have a new chair from Staples that should be a lot nicer. When you buy the chair from the floor displays, you get a nice surprise when you get it home and open the box. It's a whole new learning curve! There are wrenches involved. Nuts, bolts, and screws are lined up ahead of your comfort, and I think I'll tackle it after I've had a nap.
Meanwhile, we're lining up the guests for our second show on Saturday, April 3. Pat Uskert phoned in today; he's still in Slovakia and he is making an heroic effort to be on the show. Turns out, it's a little tricky for a lot of people to take two hours out of their Saturday night, and so I think many of our shows will be full of surprises and fun because of that. Can't wait.
I'm also going to be working here in Typepad, learning the rules and fleshing out the site. There will be a permanent archive of the shows up soon. I'm going to get Lan to show me how to change the color of the link on the do-hickey on the top right, where it says, "Listen Now for Free!" So far, that coding has been trickier than the other links.
Not as tricky as a comfy swivel chair, but tricky.
Just curious...is there an archive that we can listen to past radio shows online???

Archive is coming ... I'm hoping later tonight. I'll do it before the chair, promise.

Is there going to be an iPad app for the podcast? :-)
Just wanted to throw out there a possible topic of discussion for your radio show. I watched this video that possibly depicts an alien abduction attempt to some kids in mexico. It really creeped me out watching it. It shows an alien grey grabbing a childs arm. The arm is almost 4 feet in length and is very eerie. Thanks for your consideration.

Oh. My. God.
The typography on your floor!
I LOVE IT!
